FAQ

What is the difference between MES and ERP?

ERP manages resource planning; MES manages shop execution — together they close plan-to-execute.

ERP (enterprise resource planning) runs orders, purchasing, inventory and finance — “what should be done, where it stands, what it costs”. MES (manufacturing execution system) runs scheduling, process flow, reporting and quality traceability — “what the shop floor is doing right now”.

Print shops couple orders tightly with processes (one delayed operation threatens the whole delivery), so TUXIAN integrates ERP + MES + WMS instead of stitching three systems together: business and shop-floor data flow in one database, reporting writes back to production orders and costing in real time, and managers track progress via BI boards and mobile APP.
